What happens to my service if my high speed internet provider experiences a temporary outage?

AT&T CallVantage service requires that your high speed internet connection be up and running in order to place and receive calls on your AT&T CallVantage service Phone; however, if your high speed service does suffer an outage, you can take advantage of the Safe Forward Number feature.

A Safe Forward Number is a number that you specify. If calls cannot be sent to your adapter due to an internet or power outage, those calls will be forwarded to your Safe Forward Number.

Your Safe Forward Number can be your wireless phone, another phone in your home not attached to your adapter, your direct-dial work phone, or a friend or neighbor's phone. To view your Safe Forward Number visit your Safe Forward Number page.

Finally, note that if your high speed internet connection is experiencing an outage you will still be able to dial into your Control by phone via another phone to access Voice Mail, Speed Dial a number, or use Locate Me to forward calls to another phone.
