When You Move or Go on Vacation

Back to List

Can I use AT&T CallVantage service from another location, for example from a vacation home?

Yes, you can as long as AT&T CallVantage service is available in that area. In order to use all the service features, you will need to take the adapter with you and install it in the new location (you won't need to re-activate your adapter). You will also need a high speed internet connection.

What about when I move to a new permanent address?

You may be able to take your AT&T CallVantage service and phone number with you. You will need a high speed connection at your new location and we will need to validate that service is available at your new address. Service may not be available at your new address with your existing telephone number, but we may be able to provide you service at your new address with a new telephone number.

Note: When you take your AT&T CallVantage service to a new permanent address, you MUST provide AT&T with your new service Address location so we can update the Public Safety Answering Point to correctly route 911 calls.

See 911 service for additional important information.

Will other people calling me be charged long distance or toll charges when calling me at my new location?

Just like at your old location, when someone places a call to your AT&T CallVantage service phone number, it is treated as if they are calling a phone number in the area code of your phone. This is true regardless of where your AT&T CallVantage service phone is currently located. So if it would be a long distance or toll call for them to dial your number, the caller will incur these charges.
